Multimodal Response #7

In today's reading Artz, Hashem, and Moody talked about the power of transmodality in today's world. Transmodality is using multiple modes to recreate something. In the reading the authors discussed how transmodality is crucial part of art and the basis of remakes. Allowing creators to interpret, adapt, and retell a story are many of the basic ideas of transmodality. This reading stood out compared to other's we read because they also used different modes to explain their idea. By straying away from the usual alphabet format it made the reader want to engage more with the piece then I personally usually would.

I think the difficult part of transmodality in this project is that it is switching not only the initial mode, but into multiple other modes that all somehow work together. I think it makes the problems of any multi modal project greater as you are working with even more platforms. I wouldn't want my project to feel disconnected as they have to go from one mode to another to complete my idea. While I think it is engaging I personally don't think I would want to use it for this major project as it does leave room for inconsistency.
